Terms of Service

Last updated 19 October 2026

The short version.

1. Agreeing to these terms

Isekai Engine is an AI storytelling game at isekaiengine.ca, run by one person in Saskatchewan, Canada ("we", "us"). By signing in or playing, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Isekai Engine.

2. A game in beta

Isekai Engine is in a closed beta. Features, models, prices, quills and these terms may change. Things may break, saves may be lost, and we may pause or end the beta. We'll try to warn you before anything big, but we can't promise to. Keep your own copy of anything you can't bear to lose: pictures have a Download button.

3. Who can play

4. Stories written by AI

The narration, characters, worlds and pictures are made by AI models from what you and the game give them. No person reviews them before you see them. AI can be wrong, inconsistent, offensive or surprising, and it can resemble existing works. It's fiction: don't treat it as fact or rely on it for advice about health, law, money or anything else that matters.

5. Adult content

NSFW narration and pictures are available only to accounts the site's owner has marked as adult. We decide which accounts to mark, and we may remove a mark at any time. Content written for an adult account is for that account holder alone.

6. What you may not do

You may not use Isekai Engine to:

Worlds and rulesets you share with other players must follow these rules too.

Reporting. If the game writes or paints something that breaks these rules, or a shared world or ruleset does, use Report… in its menu. A person reads every report, and we may remove what was shared or block an account. For anything else, use Help and support on the Help page (in the menu, ☰), or email us.

7. Your content and ours

Yours. What you write and make in the game is yours, as far as the law allows. AI-made material may not be protected by copyright. To run the game, you let us store, copy and process your content, and send it to the AI companies listed in the Privacy Policy. When you share a world or ruleset, you also let other players see it, play it and keep copies. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies other players already took of what you shared. You're responsible for what you share.

Ours. The game itself, including its software, design, built-in worlds, rulesets and art, belongs to us or to its owners. You may use it only by playing it here.

8. Quills

Quills are game credits. Actions that use AI, such as a turn, a reply or a picture, cost quills. Quills:

Free quills are given once per email address. An action that fails completely is refunded automatically. During the beta no quills are sold. If we start selling quills or plans, the price and any extra terms will be shown to you before you pay.

9. Leaving, and blocks

You can delete your account at any time: open the menu (☰), choose Account, then Delete account. We may suspend or block an account, or remove content, if it breaks these terms, puts other people or the service at risk, or if the law requires it. We may also end the service. If we do, we'll try to give notice.

10. No guarantees

Isekai Engine is provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we make no promises that it will always be available, free of errors, or that your saves won't be lost. We also make no promise about what the AI writes.

11. Limits on our liability

As far as the law allows, we're not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost data or profits, arising from your use of Isekai Engine. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and CA$50. Some laws don't allow these limits. Where they don't, the limits apply only as far as allowed. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be given up.

12. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll post the new version here with a new date. If the change is significant, we'll also tell you in the game. If you keep playing after a change, you accept the new terms. If you don't accept them, you can delete your account.

13. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Saskatchewan and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes go to the courts of Saskatchewan, unless consumer protection law where you live gives you the right to bring them there.

14. The rest

These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Isekai Engine. If part of them can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term straight away, we haven't given it up.
